Page admins need to be aware of the newest Facebook scam. Hoax-Slayer reported that Facebook page admins are receiving messages from Facebook Security claiming that a new security feature called the “Fan Page Verification Program” is being implemented. The message prompts page admins to click a link and to choose a 10-digit security code. Then they’re asked to share their email address and Facebook password, which is part of the phishing scam. Users are being warned that if this process isn’t completed by May 30, 2013, their page on Facebook will be suspended permanently.
